December Dreams

We have some exciting news to share with you.

1. The Turner family is expanding! Our precious little bundle of JOY is due around December 20th. We praise God for this incredible miracle and are so excited for our Christmas baby.

Here is a picture of our baby at 12 weeks:

2. We purchased our 1st home in beautiful San Marcos, CA! We actually purchased property that looks like this:

At the end of December (if everything stays on schedule!) it will look kind of like this (color is slightly different):

6 months seems like eons away but we are so grateful to our loving Father for this sweet time of growth (including my belly) and preparation for what's to come. The Lord is Faithful!

Grandpa Joe's 70th Birthday

We celebrated Grandpa Joe's 70th Birthday at the Scottish Highland Games in Vista. We experienced many new things such as:
1. Men dressed in kilts hurling logs, throwing hammers, and tossing boulders.
2. Scottish country dancing.
3. Bag Pipping and drumming concerts.

It was a fun experience and something I would definitely attend again.

Mom finally retired!

After almost 30 years of teaching 1st and 2nd grade, my mom decided it was time to call it quits. We had a fun Luau party to celebrate this great milestone in her life. Way to go Mom!

GAG Reunion 2007

I experienced a glimpse of heaven last weekend as I gathered with my incredible sisters for our annual college GAG (Girls Accountability Group) reunion in Cambria, CA. There aren't many things more pleasurable to my soul than hanging out with friends that KNOW you, LOVE you, and CHALLENGE you to draw closer to our Heavenly Father. I love you girls!

Tribute to Mom

When I was little I rarely thanked my mom for being there for me. Now that I am older I appreciate her way more but still don't thank her enough for the love and energy she constantly pours out. I know she knows that I appreciate her but I often feel like I need to do more to show her my gratitude. She deserves more than kind words on a Mother's Day card, a new purse, and brunch with the family. The greatest gift she has given me is the beautiful example of a wife and mother. I love you mom and THANK YOU for the blood, sweat, and tears you've shed for our family.

Some of my favorite girls

As a "Thank you" for all of the work Kimber has put into leading and hosting our Bible study for the past 3 years, we threw her a suprise birthday party. Her birthday is in December but since it's so close to Christmas, we never celebrate it. Who ever said we couldn't celebrate birthdays 4 months after they occured? Anyways, Happy Birthday Kimber and thank you for the Godly example you have shown us.

Fun-Filled Saturday

Last Saturday, April 14th, Alex and I went to a 1-year-old birthday party for Noelle McCarty and then we went to Dodger Stadium to watch the Padres annihilate the Dodgers! We got to spend the afternoon hanging out with college friends and their little princesses and princes and we spent the evening with cousin's James, Guiselle, and their son Ryan. It was a fun-filled Saturday.
