Slushboarding!

Never would I have fathomed snowboarding in a t-shirt! It was hot enough on Sunday at Snow Summit to make this fantasy a reality. We spent the day browning our skin while boarding on slush. It was quite the adventure.

St. Patty's Day

We spent St. Patrick's Day barbecuing with our wonderful Growth Group and saying goodbye to our good friends, JT and Annah. JT is off to Iraq and Annah is going home to Missouri. We will miss them but look forward to there return to SD in November.

Lancer Lacrosse

I coach the JV girls lacrosse team at Carlsbad High School. They are a bunch of crazy teenagers who have way too much energy. They keep me young! Go Lancers!

Calvary SLO Women's Retreat

"He has made everything beautiful in its time." -Ecclesiastes 3:11. That was the theme of this years Women's Retreat which took place at the beautiful Mandalay Bay in Oxnard, CA. It was a weekend of healing, relaxing, reuniting with friends, and connecting with our incredible Maker.

mmmm, cake!

I must say that this was the most encouraging birthday celebration I have experienced in the last 27 years. I woke up to the smell of homemade waffles cooked by my incredible husband, ate lunch on the beach at my favorite italian restaurant in Carlsbad, ate cupcakes with my lacrosse team, ate cake with my young married friends, ate cupcakes with my women's Bible study, and ate more cake with my loving family. Mmmm, cake. The Lord has blessed me with family & friends who care so deeply about me and have brought countless smiles to my face. Thank you for making my birthday one big sugar-filled extravaganza. I love you all! :)
